Yosemite Western Artists’
46th Annual Tri-County Exhibits
For multiple reasons we’ve decided to divide the annual event across two venues this year: our YWA Gallery space at Chris Sorensen Studio in Fresno and the Madera County Arts Council’s Circle Gallery in Madera. Each year we’ve sought venues that could host our event for a longer block of time and ways to make the show more accessible to artists living in all the cities included in the 3 counties. For many years the Tri-County was only up over a weekend and it’s always drawn the largest amount of artists from Oakhurst, Ahwahnee and Mariposa. This year we’ve split the show across our YWA Gallery space at the Chris Sorensen Studio, where we’ll present the Photography, Printmaking and Digital Art participants and Circle Gallery, home of the Madera County Arts Council, in Madera, where Painting, Watercolor, Pastel, Drawing, Fiber, Mixed Media and Sculpture works will be presented.
Each venue will have its own separate Gala Opening Reception. The two shows will be judged and awarded individually, with Best of Show, People’s Choice, First, Second, Third and Honorable Mention awards handed out at each location.
