It was a busy fun-filled weekend for art!
I hosted the Abstraction & Multiple Viewpoint Perspective Workshop at our Gertrude Schoolhouse from 10am – 4pm both Saturday and Sunday and the Sierra Art Trails Preview Show Artist’s Reception was Saturday night, from 4pm — 9pm.
Great turnout for both events. YWA members Mary Beth Attix Harrison, Carolyn Hartling, Norma Rogers, Anita Shapiro, Kerby Smith, Lura Schwarz Smith and Diane Stewart, along with Society of Western Artists members Dennis and Sheryl Lewis braved the treacherous waters of Abstraction & Multiple Viewpoint perspective through the weekend arriving victorious on when they hit dry land again Sunday afternoon. Thanks to all you brave soles who participated in this challenging event. Their works (many still in progress) appear below:
And everyone in town appeared to make an appearance at the Sierra Art Trails Preview Show Artist’s Reception, to peruse this year’s creative offerings, enjoy the company of and conversation with fellow creatives, listen to the amazing fiddle playing of Patrick A. Contreras and, after dark, take in the fire dancing performance of Circus Etcetera.
A very full weekend, now we can all take a breath and begin final preparation for Art Trails at the end of the month.
